Indiana kills anti-municipal broadband bill

Indiana has killed a bill that would have prohibited municipal broadband build-outs. The bill "failed to reach a vote in the state's House of Representatives," according to ZDNet.com An SBC spokesperson said 14 states across the country have passed legislation similar to the bill that died in Indiana, and six more are considering proposals.

Illinois appears to be one such state.
